I thought I’d post each month about an essential oil or other Young Living products that I’m currently loving. This month it has to be RC. Hands down. RC stands for respiratory circulation which means it will support anything that deals with the respiratory system. It is one of the standard oils that come in the Premium Starter Kit. This oil is a blend of other essential oils including Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata, Eucalyptus Citriadora, Marjoram, Pine, Myrtle, Lavender, Cypress, Black Spruce, and Peppermint.
It needs to be diluted (you can always look on the back of any bottle for instructions). This specific oil has a dilution of 1:1, meaning one drop of RC + one drop of carrier oil (V-6 is the YL brand but you can use fractionated coconut oil, almond oil, grapeseed oil, etc. I just warn those who don’t use the V-6 to check the carrier oils source. Since you are using the highest quality essential oils, don’t ruin it with a cheap carrier oil). Remember too that diluting is IMPORTANT. Not only does it make your oils last longer there is chemistry to prove that it actually makes the oils more effective.
You can apply this oil (once diluted) directly to skin. I like to apply to my chest over the lungs, on the “palm” of my feet, neck, and on my back, over the lungs. You can inhale this oil directly or diffuse it. The YL Premium Starter Kit comes with a diffuser but I also have a bunch around the house that I got off of Amazon. Another good way to inhale this oil if you are dealing with any sort of respiratory issue is to use a nasal inhaler. Again, you can get off Amazon for cheap! They have cotton wicks in them and you can use any oil you’d like, but the RC is great for this.
Here in Indiana, the weather changes every single day. Last weekend it was nearly 75 out and yesterday and today it is snowing. This oil has been a huge support to our respiratory system during this wacky weather. I highly recommend it. What’s your favorite oil?
