It seems like after every Christmas and birthday, our house is a mess. There are toys everywhere! And I only have one child. Before Maverick was born, we purchased the Trofast storage system from IKEA thinking it would be a great solution for his future toys. We were right and it quickly filled up! This year, we purchased another one for all the new toys. He is at the stage where we can’t get rid of many toys because he is growing into a lot of them such as shape sorters, stacking rings, etc. We have had these toys since he was a little baby but he is now learning how to use them properly instead of as a chew toy. I love organization and thought I was so clever when I purchased chalkboard labels and had the idea to write what’s in each tub. For example: trains, books, balls, tools. Well, not only can he NOT read (ha ha) but he loves to peel them off and stick them everywhere! So, I plan to revisit that idea when he is a few years older. My next idea is to take a photo of each toy and attach it to the tub with contact paper so he has a visual of what goes inside when he (and I) are cleaning up his toys. But I have to say his room looks much more organized now. How do you organize your kid(s) toys?
