Lavender! My super oil for the month of April is Young Living Lavender Essential Oil. This was the very first oil that I tried that truly hooked me. Lavender is lovingly called the Swiss Army Knife of oils because of the MANY uses it has. Because of that, it’s one of the easier oils to get incorporated into your daily routine.
Lavender was the first essential oil that got the founder of Young Living (D. Gary Young) interested in oils. I won’t give you his full story, but he was severely injured and looking for help, naturally. Upon getting lavender seeds from someone in Europe, he distilled them himself and it really grew from there. I will get on my soapbox at this point and mention that the difference between Young Living and other essential oils out there is the purity and Young Living has the highest standards when it comes to their oils. They have a 5-step process that sets them apart and you can explore that here. It really is fascinating.
Lavender essential oil supports a number of your body’s systems including emotional and cardiovascular. This oil is great for skin issues as well. I’m not a doctor, I’m a mom and these are only my opinions and what works on me might not work for you. I will tell you that this oil has been a game changer when dealing with my sweet babies skin issues. From cuts, scrapes, bruises to diaper rash, I’ve gone straight to my lavender oil first and had jaw-dropping results. In the best way!
Lavender is great for promoting a restful environment (hello, moms with little kids running around!). I like to diffuse it in the air before nap time to get my kiddos ready to lay down or before and during bed time also.
This oil is so great and is so helpful for many, many things. If you are interested in learning more, I’d love to help you learn how this oil can be the gateway into natural healing and health for you and your family.
